The Hamiltion County Highway Department engaged A&F Engineering to study the interchange at I-69 and State Road 238 while considering future traffic forecasts. Conditions were based on future development and changes in the local roadway network. Traffic volume counts and travel pattern data was collected. This data, along with the analysis, existing comprehensive plan data, conclusions, and recommendations was documented in the resulting interchange study. The study indentified the present and future Level of Service (efficiency) of I-69 and SR 238 and affiliated intersections at peak hours.
Terre Haute, Indiana – Corridor Study
The City of Terre Haute hired A&F to conduct a comprehensive study for State Road 46. The scope of work ranged from peak hour traffic movement volume counts and intersections geometrics to a 20 year traffic projection utilizing the city’s comprehensive land use plan and roadway/intersection segment capacity analysis.
Conclusions and recommendations were made that outline roadway improvements necessary to accommodate existing and future traffic resulting from the development of vacant land within the study area.
Hamilton County – Transportation Infrastructure Needs Assessment
A&F Engineering conducted a major transportation study that analyzed the principal roadway systems within Hamilton County as well as State Road 37. An updated land map was produced and subsequently used to produce a transportation model and network for the major route within the County. Traffic engineers were able to develop a 20 year traffic projection and recommend future roadway requirements to accommodate future transportation needs.
Indianapolis, Indiana – Traffic Forecasting
We provided twenty-year traffic projections to the City of Indianapolis. Our Transportation Operations and Analysis Group calculated unique transportation growth factors for several sub-areas to determine reliable growth rates. This “user friendly” growth matrix made it possible to estimate future traffic volumes.
